Terms & Conditions

1) Who may use Equira

• Age. You must be 13+ years old to use the Service where permitted by law.
• Compliance. You may use the Service only in compliance with these Terms and applicable laws, including sanctions/export rules.
• Accounts. You must provide accurate information when you sign up (email, password; name optional) and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

2) What Equira does (and doesn’t do)

• Portfolio tracking only. Equira does not execute trades, custody assets, or hold funds.
• Information only; no advice. Content in “Discover,” including prices, charts, news, “Top movers,” sentiment, Collections, and any analytics, is for informational purposes only and not investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice. You are solely responsible for your investment decisions.
• Market data & availability. Prices, news, and sentiment are provided by third-party partners and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. We do not guarantee real-time accuracy or uninterrupted availability.

3) Connecting financial accounts (Plaid) & manual entries

• Plaid. If you connect an account using Plaid, you authorize Plaid to transmit account data to us so we can display holdings, balances, and liabilities you select. We do not receive or store your bank login credentials. Your use of Plaid is subject to Plaid’s own terms and privacy policy.
• Manual & custom entries. You can add holdings and liabilities manually, including custom assets we cannot price. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter.
• Snapshots. The Service may take daily snapshots to produce historical charts. Snapshots do not guarantee historical pricing accuracy.

4) Your content and permissions

• Your ownership. You retain ownership of the data you submit (e.g., holdings, liabilities, preferences).
• License to operate the Service. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, display, and use your content solely to operate and improve the Service and as otherwise described in our Privacy Policy.
• Feedback. If you provide feedback or suggestions, we may use them without restriction or compensation.

5) Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service unlawfully or for any purpose prohibited by these Terms;
• Misrepresent your identity or your ownership of assets;
• Copy, modify, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract source code (except where permitted by law);
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, or attempt to access non-public areas;
• Use any automated means (scrapers, bots) without our written permission;
• Infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6) Subscriptions, trials, and billing

• Pricing. Certain features may require a paid subscription or in-app purchase. Prices are shown in-app and may change.
• Apple billing. Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. Billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are governed by Apple’s terms and policies.
• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• Trials. If you receive a free trial, unused portions are forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.

7) Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and how we use and share information. Please review it carefully. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices described there.

8) Third-party services & links

The Service integrates or links to third-party services (e.g., Plaid, market-data/news providers). Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party content, accuracy, or practices.

9) Intellectual property

The Service (including software, UI, designs, logos, and content we provide) is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by IP laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the iOS app solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

10) Beta features

We may label some features as alpha, beta, preview, or experimental. These may be incomplete or change at any time and are provided as-is.

11) Disclaimers

THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE.

We do not warrant that prices, charts, news, sentiment, or analytics are accurate, complete, timely, or error-free, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or secure.

12) Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL EQUIRA OR ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; some of the above may not apply to you.

13) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Equira and its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any third-party rights or laws.

14) Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion in-app (where available) or by contacting us at team@equira.app. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if we believe you have violated these Terms or pose a risk to the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive (e.g., IP, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law).

15) Changes to the Service and to these Terms

We may change or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time; if changes are material, we will provide notice (e.g., in-app or by email). Your continued use after the changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

16) Governing law; dispute resolution

• Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
• Venue. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts located in Dallas, TX / USA.

17) Export & sanctions

You represent that you are not located in, or a resident or national of, a country or region subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions, and you are not a person on a restricted list. You agree to comply with applicable export and sanctions laws.

18) Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that Apple is not responsible for providing any maintenance or support, and Apple has no warranty or liability obligations with respect to the app beyond what is required by law. You agree to comply with Apple’s applicable terms.
